in the press/competitions?

I keep being told about newspapers and tv competitions ect, I know Paul and a few other people have been on the weather channels. how many of you have sent off pictures somewhere, or entered competitions in publications ect..?

I've had pictures in car and racing mags, but I was there to cover it, so not sure it counts really?

 

I keep getting links sent to me by friends but never enter... I think I should give it a go..

I've appeared in a local paper (page 3, no less) but never submitted pictures to a competition of any sort.

 

I have a friend who keeps entering and winning stuff, maybe she could give me some tips as long as I don't enter the same ones as she goes for

I seldom send pictures to the TV stations or other places where you receive nothing in return, but do look for competitions elsewhere.

Whilst I have never won anything major I have had a few small prizes for example: last month I received a £25 voucher from WEX for 3rd place in the 'summer' competition.

I have had pictures in the local paper, some in the Aston Martin owners club magazine, some on a Ford website and others in a brochure for the local carnival, also had quite a few of my local carnival shots used by the town council in their publications. I have entered a couple of competitions but never won anything. its niceto see your images in print and you have nothing to lose by sending them in

try your local BBC TV web page they often have an email something like weatherpics@
