I seldom send pictures to the TV stations or other places where you receive nothing in return, but do look for competitions elsewhere.

Whilst I have never won anything major I have had a few small prizes for example: last month I received a £25 voucher from WEX for 3rd place in the 'summer' competition.

Never done this myself. I would imagine it feels great if you get some recognition. 

I've had pictures in car and racing mags, but I was there to cover it, so not sure it counts really?

I keep getting links sent to me by friends but never enter... I think I should give it a go..

I keep being told about newspapers and tv competitions ect, I know Paul and a few other people have been on the weather channels. how many of you have sent off pictures somewhere, or entered competitions in publications ect..?

it's something we can't change Annie... personally I love cold crisp mornings..... but yes the damp dark nights I hate though, I just sit bored watching rubbish on TV.

that time of year again, the weather and dark nights are closing in, least we have some new members with fresh ideas.

Her daughter is 12 I've found out since, I'm quite looking forward to it... lot to learn though

after 18 months of really good fun I am going to try and change from Motorsport to portraits, even though I have had loads of fun,  I've travelled thousands of miles and spent a long time away from my family, and probably bored you lot to death too?

so I am trying to get volunteers to let me take some pictures of people locally, I'm doing my first one Saturday morning, an old friend from school and her daughter  (not even sure how old the daughter is)

are there any toggers on here with experience of going to another persons home and doing this on site?

I'v been battling with dust or whatever on my camera for ages, it must be inside somewhere as it comes and go's.... does my head in!!

I was given an old Praktica camera ages ago, I used the 50mm F2.8 lens with an adaptor  (not in perfect condition), I now have a nifty fifty and will probably never use the camera.

if there's anyone out there would like it just pay the postage and it's yours, if you want the Canon adaptor I'll chuck it in too

you all know I have been getting right into this Motorsport malarkey for the past year, I'm just about getting known by people attending as many events as possible, Facebook has been a huge part of this without it I'd not know anyone at all.

I realise posting anything on the WWW comes with the chance of your pictures being stolen, but if it's someone you have met and chatted to a few times would you bother?

I know I can't do anything about it but surely common decency would make the guy at least put my name to it

I'm changing tactics now, with help from a few friends I am going to try and get into events next year, have a 21st booked in a few weeks they have hired one of those silly boards you stick your head through and get pictures..... so all is not lost.

I have never been one to hold a grudge or anything life is too short
