hello steve, we have already had the little please of meeting on martyns post...
-
lol....that sounds like a plan........

hello seajunky..
I do understand what you are saying about the depth of field, the raynox lenses do not like movement for sure, and the depth is very shallow. I never carry a tripod, they are next to useless in a field when its bug shots your after, however I went straight for the 250 knowing if I got the 150 I would regret it.
-
well I too would love a dedicated macro lens but it is off budget.
so I carry on with my trusty raynox 250. yes it does just clip on, but that also means no fiddly changing of lenses when out and about, just pop it on an off as needed. mine has teeth marks on the clip part from where I am forever holding it by my teeth instead of putting it in my pocket. I also dropped mine in a glass of coke and then had to soak it in hot water with fairy liquid to get the stickiness out of the springs...bet you could not do that with a dedicated lens..!

I just drag and drop...I'm running windows 7..it also works the same when I have copied from other cards that were originally copied on xp and vista..very strange

Blooming heck, I could hardly keep up with you lot this week.
Stunning pictures from everyone. Pointy ended cruise ships, wonderful landscapes, stunning macro photography, shots taken from the air, buildings at strange angles, and also beautifully edited pictures, all of them have been wonderful and a pleasure to look at and keep going back over. It is when the site is buzzing like this I wish we could have a 1st 2nd and 3rd place.
However, my choice for POTW this week goes to someone who has been quietly working away to improve her editing skills even more, and she is doing so well that I have made my choice on the basis of that, plus it the picture gave us a giggle...
Well done Blackrox on all the hard work you have been putting into your projects...wish I could get half as good as you are..

I read books, nothing can compare to a book..non of those ebook things for me. but I use the library for books, other than a special book then I will buy it...just don't buy mags of any sort.
-
they never had computers when I was at school.....they were just 'things' on space family robinson...
what was that thing that used to rattle out the football score on a Saturday night...was that a computer or was it some sort of telegram machine..?
-
don't buy mag's or newspapers...
-
it is an LP-E5 dave....
I think it probably is because it is the one that came with the camera...
-
thanks for the tips..
I just had another try with the said battery, it came to life for a second or two then the camera shut down...grrrr
I shall try and clean the contacts, noting to lose now I suppose.
-
gutted I am...
clean the contacts, on the battery..how do I do that?
-
why would a canon battery suddenly stop working, it's only a year and a half old. It shows fully charged in the charging unit yet when I put it in the camera..nothing.
this is the battery that came with the camera, the cheap Jessop one I purchased at the same time is still going strong...!
-
yes I agree it's very nice seeing the driver in the shot...

I like things just the way they are here on tipf. had one experience of big a site and it was awful. the amount of grown adults causing trouble, bickering and arguing was beyond belief.

how beautiful.
