lol...Cambridge folk festival. brian used to do security there in the 70s/80s, he has quite a few autographs of some of the artists that have performed there. for a while we lived behind the park where it takes place in cherry hinton, flipping noise..! that is a very crazy area of Cambridge while that event is going on,

my raynox is so simple......phew! lots to take in there.
I have never been able to get along using my 75-300 for bugs. I find it far too heavy, and to use it on a tripod is too clumsy for bugs.

it's being able to ask these questions without being shot down in flames that make this such a nice forum...

today while out and about, there was a woman sticking her camera up close to a spider web, and I mean close.. I asked her could she see the spider? she said she was trying out her new lens. of course, in my excitement I asked if it was a new macro lens, she said no it was a new 'wide angle lens'.....I was left confused as to how a wide angle lens works so close to a spiders web....can you guys answer this one for me?

kate is very right in what she says. I will often look at a post more than once, sometimes just to see the image again because I love it, sometimes to catch up on other members comments. I take no notice of how many views a post has had. and when doing picture of the week, I can go backwards and forwards through images to make my decision.
I like the like button. if I like an image but don't have much time, I use it. if I more than like an image I usually comment and hit the like button.
I cannot/will not offer any critique on an image, as that is a job for the big boys, the guys here who really know their stuff, not for the likes of me.
