I used to finish work at 2.30 am. I was driving through Cambridge on my way home when I came across a herd of horses galloping up Newmarket road, a main road through Cambridge . I phoned the police and told them, gave them the exact location, and that the horses were heading towards the A14 from the direction of Cambridge  ''is that north or south'' they asked. I told them it was neither...'' there is nothing we can do unless you can tell us the direction they are heading'' they said. I told them that it would be east on the compass, I was told ''not to be funny, and if we have someone who can take a look we will send them'' . end of conversation!

You have all posted such wonderful pictures this week. I have been completely spoilt for choice, and kept on my toes keeping up with you all.

John with his butterfly and flower shots, truly lovely John.

Bugmeister and his beautiful bug photography, amazing images.

I fell totally in love with 'Me Tarzan' from Grounded.

And I must mention Matt and his photo of Mullion Cove...simply stunning.

But the picture I am going with this week comes from Fuzzy.

I have always loved the way Fuzzy captures the character of people and I think this one is special,

we have a French friend who has lived in England for thirty years. he is married to an English woman, they have three young children and he runs his own business...he is taking them all back to france...on the reasoning that we let to many eastern Europeans in this country and that we are soft...........how ironic is that.

 I am betting that the worse is yet to come with Romanians and Bulgarians......I cannot understand where this argument that they 'bring something into the country' comes from...all the poles around here are taking minimum wage jobs and getting top up benefit.....get us out of the EU now I say...

I have worked all my life full time and paid into this system that I find I am not able to claim from now I am out of work.......! the reason why...I am married, my husband has to keep me, so why was they taking so much tax off me?

i can't do that stacking for the life of me....and i like things to be alive not dead. and all pinned out.....yuk!

i have never delved into that either john....and i don't really think i would want to. i do prefer raw....when i remember to switch the camera over to it that is. i can see the benefit of raw.....i found it a chore at first.
